  • A picture I took in 1988 in eastern Myanmar to where the Kayan were forced to flee from the Burmese army.  We were trekking in Thailand and crossed the border into Burma, as Myanmar was then called.  While times are changing for the Myanmar tribal people, the Kayan women certainly seem to continue their tradition of adornment with neck rings.
